XL100 upgraded to Windows 7, with optical out to surround sound
All gone smoothly, although I still can't control DVD volume using the remote control, I have to use the surround sound volume levels. Any ideas?
I've installed the AC3 codecs, updated the sound card drivers, installed the original sony software etc...
Is there any easy fix?
I've also installed a second tuner card (Satellite) which has the same problem..

I can't on mine either and as far as I am aware it can't be done- digital sound from the optical can't be controlled from WMC/the PCs sound.

volume control is only for analogue outputs
